No index not working on subpages of static home pages

Hi,
I’ve ticked Noindex subpages of archives and it perfectly works on category pages. However, i’m using a custom home page for genesis theme showing latest post. When i visit the next set of posts in page 2, the noindex feature not working. Instead it adds canonical url to homepage.
Google is indexing my subpages. Can anyone give me an idea why noindex not working.
