you seem to have a conflicting plugin, which “hijacks” the output buffer leading to AO to only get a (small) part of the HTML which it treats. try disabling plugins to see which one is the culprit, we can see how to move forward once we know which one it is.

Well I found the culprit and it was this plugin WP Meta SEO https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-meta-seo/. Any suggestions how to proceed while still using that plugin?

I have it disabled for now. So things are working but I wanted to see if it was possible to reactivate.

hmmm .. does wp meta seo have an option to do title rewriting? if so, can you see if disabling that option helps?

I tried to disable all of those, but still no effect.

well, someone else mentioned this on WP Meta SEO’s support forum, but the developers could not reproduce. It seems to me the best approach would be to chime in there and compare notes?
