    Hi there,

Try as I might I can’t put line breaks or paragraph breaks on my pages (please see text under “we’re coming soon” – i want line spaces between each sentence https://www.thedigitalmarketingfairy.co.uk).

    I’ve tried the <p> and
html codes and also installing the TinyMCE Advanced plugin but nothing works.

I’d really appreciate if someone could help me with this.

    Thank you

  • Try installing tinymce advanced plugin and enabling the setting “Stop removing the <p> and
tags when saving and show them in the HTML editor”

    Thanks for your info harmonyinfotech.

I’ve tried doing this and it still doesn’t help.

Any other advices would be greatly received.

Could you post (from the text editor not the visual editor) an example of your page content?

Of course IT4Worshop, I have copied content from text editor below.

    <p>Thanks for stopping by.</p>

The page then shows like this: https://www.thedigitalmarketingfairy.co.uk/ (the text is just above the footer)

What happens when you insert the br tag in the content?

I have tried the br tag on its own and it still doesn’t help.

Just tried it with the <p> tag and it now looks to be working ok.

    I added as follows:

    <p>Thanks for stopping by.</p></br>

<p>We are currently working on bringing you a great website for everything related to digital marketing.</p></br>

Thanks so much for helping out on this – I’m really grateful!

Important thing is you’re getting what you want from the site – really attractive site by the way. The approach I was going to suggest was to use a non- breaking space ( ) after the </p>.

Good luck with your new venture!

Very kind of you to say IT4Worship – its my first ever WordPress site and I have no html knowledge so things are going very slowly at the moment.

I’ll look into what the non-breaking space does though – I haven’t come across that one yet!

I now need to figure out why I can’t change any of the colour options in the customise section but that will be another post thread – I think I’ll be on this forum for quite some time to come ;o/
