No line breaks or paragraphs

This is a strange problem that I’ve never had on any of the other WordPress sites I’ve made. For some reason when I write content for a post or page I lose all of my line breaks and paragraphs when I publish it so that it looks like one big paragraph. This happens in both the visual editor and the html editor with no difference. It looks fine in the editor, but when I publish it, I lose it all. If I manually add the <p> and </p> tags around my paragraphs, that fixes the problem, but I’d really rather not have to do that every time. Any suggestions?
