“No links found” and no results

How complex or simple is your search term? What link field is the text that you’re searching for? Link Library does not not search in every single field. It only searches in the Title, Description and Notes. I will try to replicate your issue this evening. Would be great if you could export and e-mail me your library configuration. My e-mail is ylefebvre at gmail dot com.

I am searching for a single word in the title. For example, one link has a Title of “2016-01-01:The Predictive Brain” and I search for the word “Brain”. Here are screenshots:

Thanks for sending your library configuration file. I loaded it up on my development environment and was able to run searches on my links without any issues, as you can see in this screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/lCU2E7g

Is this on a live site or a development site? I have a feeling that another plugin is messing with your search queries, causing it not to return any results. Another possibility is that you might have added code in your theme’s functions.php to filter how posts or pages are queried but that code might affect queries for all post types (posts, pages, but also Link Library links).

The best way to troubleshoot this kind of issue is to deactivate plugins one by one until the problem goes away. If that does not work, then emptying any custom code that you’ve added in the theme functions.php, or change your site to another theme like some of the default ones and see if that helps. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

You are correct. The plugin “WP Extended Search” was interfering with your plugin’s operation. Thank you so much for your quick and helpful analysis! Now I can try out your plugin properly.

Glad to hear that was the issue. It may be possible to configure this other plugin to play nice with Link Library, but at least now you know where to look.
