I’m not sure if this is a bug because I have tested on different installations and environments with the same result, but I can’t add links to Text Widgets (Dashboard Widgets) – When I click “Insert/edit link” icon in the editor, it just close instantly.

Even if I try to add a link manually with html, after saving, it becomes “

”

    I am doing something wrong?

    Hello there @xches

This is already reported to our developers who will provide a fix in an upcoming release. If there’s any further development/hotfix that we could provide before that, we will keep you posted here.

    Thank you,

    Hi @xches

I hope you are doing well.

I am afraid we don’t have an estimated time to release this fixed version, you can subscribe to our roadmap to receive updates about our plugins:

    Hey there @xches

This is an awesome plugin from these guys but also found this to be a downer. It would of course be super useful to add links in the text widgets provided so…

    MAKE-DO SOLUTION FOR NOW!

    – I just create the text I want the link attached to in another application and then copy/paste it into the text widget

    – for example I use my email program cos it creates links on text very easily for me – so I just click on ‘compose new email’ and keep this open as my work sheet for creating the word/words I need to add the link to and then copy/paste into the Branda text widget wherever I need it and HEY PRESTO there’s your linked text!

A little of bit of extra work outside the Branda app but it solves the issue and its much quicker than waiting for these guys to get it fixed – no disrespect to them as I truly appreciate their free offerings!

High5 and happy linking till the fix is released ??

    Hi @sunnyjimm,

This update is taking bit longer than expected so this hasn’t been fixed yet indeed ??

We do still have it on to-do list and it will addressed, and thanks for sharing your solution for others in the meantime!

    Cheers,
    Predrag

    Hi @wpmudev-support1,

    My pleasure Predrag.

I am quite sure you guys have your hands full over there with all the awesome things you create for us to use.

Thanks for everything you offer us – it makes a big difference for the better.

May the force be with you while you tackle your to-do list.

    High5!
