No live feed with OruxMaps, screenshots to explain
-
Hello,
First I would like to say, I really like the function of the plugin.
I got the TrackMe app to work with our website. We are using it to track a live bus route. Unfortunately it was only updating the trail every 15 seconds, so the blue trail was going through buildings/blocks on turns. Looked really sloppy/unprofessional on the map. Is there a short code to turn off the trail in TrackMe?
So we tried a different option to make it look more professional, using OruxMaps. Hoping it live updates faster. Additionally we can lay a .gpx file of the bus route, which would function really nice.
Having some issues with getting OruxMaps live. Have followed your instructions and FAQ. Here is where we are at:
1. Have the slug correct on the WP end with Trackserver plugin. Full custom URL: https://www.oshkoshbars.com/mapmytracks

2. Have the WP Admin and Pass in the OruxMaps app same as the WP login. Have the correct slug from screenshot above. Have Auto Live Tracking clicked.

3.
Have the shortcode correct on the WP page [tsmap track=live align=center]

4.
Downloaded a .gpx file from OruxMaps App and uploaded it into the “manage tracks” to make sure that it works correctly in our WP page.

Uploaded .gpx file shown on our website.

Here is the page of the website with the plugin shown, with no slug duplications:

I press “record”. Waited up to 25 minutes. Would not show the live tracking on the webpage. When I press “stop” recording, I get a message stating “Stopping Live Tracking MapMyTracks”.

I spent hours looking through settings and trying new ideas to get this to work. What is your suggestion to connect this live feed from OruxMaps App to WP?
Also, is there a short code to turn off the trail in TrackMe? If we cannot get this to work.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to help!
