Support for the classic editor has been dropped 2 releases ago. See the release notes for details.

ah ok, changing to the block editor made it work. gosh the block editor sucks and totally screwed up the WP experience, specially since we use Divi. what a shame

I agree strongly that we need the Academic Bloggers Toolkit plugin for the classic editor! (but I do understand that I currently have the classic editor through use of another plugin.) Having to use the block editor is almost enough to make me take my sites out of WordPress. Please reconsider your decision—is there any way that support can happen?

Too bad. I was looking forward to using this plugin–but default to the Gutenberg block editor was the deal breaker. Perhaps I will check back in the future and see if there has been a reconsideration of support for Classic/TinyMCE advanced editing. Many of us will continue to use that, and a number of specialized plugins rely on it to provide editing in front-end applications.

Removed, and sent off to the digital dustbin…

    Hello,

For one of our websites, after we changed from classic editor to block editor, the citations vanished from all the published articles. Now we sadly don’t have a copy of the articles with citations, so have to find them all over again!

Is there anything that can be done to get the citations?

    Thanks
