• No longer easy and practical plug-in.. I’ve been using it since I created my site so almost 10 years and I can tell how much it became bad. It’s now so terribly slow to do easy simple stuffs such as editing broken links.

When a link is not broken, you have no way of removing it from the list of “broken” links, it just stays there even though you “ignore the link” or “Report as not broken” in the options, which is so annoying as you have to scroll your long list of broken links to sort them out, really not user friendly.

To sum up: it used to be a great plug-in when it was only local in your WP dashboard. Now it has become a cloud thing and became pretty s***.

  • Hey there,

Thank you so much for the detailed and honest review, we really appreciate this and needless to say reading that as a long time user you have been disappointed in our plugin as of recently, is not something we’d hope to see!

Our team is dedicated to developing the new Broken Link Checker version further with future updates, and I am confident that the issues described in your review will be fleshed out over time.

For now, we would recommend considering using the old (local) version of our plugin, which is still available to use within its settings.

And hopefully you will give our plugin another chance at some point, as we’d love to turn your experience around!

    Best regards,

    Dave
