I rolled back to version 3.10.14 and now it is working again. It seems that the new updates won’t let me edit my bar charts.

    Hi,

I updated to the last version of Visualizer, v3.11.0.
I want to add manual data to the bar chart that i’ve made in the past.
When i click on the edit button, i get the next alert:

I can create a new bar chart, but i cannot edit them. In version v3.10.15 i still could edit them.
I did a roll back to that version.

    Hey @bernardpeters,

Can you please let us know what chart type are you using? Some screenshots from the dashboard would be great. This will help us investigate further.

    Hi @bernardpeters,

    Thank you for sharing!

The last chart you sharted is part of our premium charts – Pro Charts Library, which ultimately explains why you got that error. The Column chart is not accessible in the free version of the plugin.

You can see the changelog for the latest update here: https://github.com/Codeinwp/visualizer/releases.

    Have a great day,

    Andreea

Okay, so for years i could use this type of charts but all of a sudden i can’t. I can add a column chart, but not edit them.
The pro edition is to expensive for my hobby, so i will find another solution.

    Bye

    Hey @bernardpeters,

I am very sorry about this issue.

The Column chart is a premium chart and it has been for a long time. This was not a change introduced with the latest update.

I apologize for the inconvenience created.

This chart isn’t marked as premium…

I have the same issue. Everything was fine in the free version and I have used the bar chart every year since 2013 with no problem but since the updates beyond 3.10.14 I can no longer duplicate and edit the data manually to create a new version of my bar chart. So is this type of chart premium?

    (@andreearadacina21)

    Hey @banny83,

I apologize for any confusion regarding the charts.

The chart you mentioned is part of our premium charts library, as detailed in our documentation here: https://docs.themeisle.com/article/1708-pro-charts-library. This documentation was last updated in 2023, so there hasn’t been a recent change.

We understand your concerns. However, those charts have been part of the PRO version for years. The recent update only introduced a check to ensure that a PRO chart isn’t used without a license, displaying a notification to upgrade if necessary. We haven’t reclassified any charts from free to PRO, which is why there’s no mention of this in the changelog. For the past few years, these PRO charts have not been supported in the Free version, so it wouldn’t have been possible to create or edit such charts without a PRO license.

@david-barczak, the bar chart is part of the free charts, so you shouldn’t encounter issues when using it. Regarding the data sources, it is still possible to enter manual data, as highlighted here – https://docs.themeisle.com/article/428-visualizer-charts-and-graphs-documentation#options.

I hope this clears things up. If you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out. We appreciate your understanding!

    Best regards,
    Andreea
