No Longer Working as of September 2014

Was a nice theme, but as of September 2014 it appears it no longer works as of the upgrade to WP 4.0. This is true even when I tried restoring my site from a backup from 2013 (WP 3.5), and even though the old backup was completely fine, uploading it today it displays only errors unless I swap the theme out. This must mean that some file(s) are being pulled remotely (from the cloud) even when on older WP version, and that this theme is just no longer compatible. That is the only thing I can guess from what is going on.
