Hi, I have no “Lost Password” option on my login page, but only a blank spot next to the “Register” option, even with no login customization plugin active.

    Where did it go?

    Regards
    Carsten

That’s odd, try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

The “Lost your password?” link is still there below the login form in WordPress 4.9, that hasn’t changed: https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/tags/4.9/src/wp-login.php#L829

If you can’t access your Dashboard because you don’t have your password, try [your-site]/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

Hi James, thanks for your prompt reply. You are right, after deactivating all plugins, the “Lost your password?” reappears. Now I just have to find out, which is causing the trouble.

    Thanks again!

    Regards
    Carsten
