    Hi,

We set up the plugin following all instructions but don’t see any indication that the address validation exists in the shipping address from in Woocommerce, nor can we see any Map, even tough we don’t need that feature.

We simply wanted to force consumers to validate the shipping address before being allowed to check out.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi there, I don’t see the plugin activated on your website. When you activate the plugin ensure this option is checked in the plugin settings: https://prnt.sc/LoQSCp335FfR

The plugin doesn’t validate the shipping address in terms of checking if an address is correct or not. It does offer Places AutoComplete feature where it would pull the addresses from google places API. There’s also an option to ensure the user selects one of the addresses from the dropdown:

    Hello!

We removed the plugin because no map or addresses showed up anywhere on our website checkout after setting everything up.

We had both of the above options checked.

Hi, for me to assist you’d need to re-enable the plugin. Once thats done, please go to the checkout page and take a look at the browser console and send me a screenshot of what it shows, you can see this article for instructions on bringing up the browser console: https://balsamiq.com/support/faqs/browserconsole/

    Hi!

So after we uninstalled your plugin we installed Fluid Checkout for WooCommerce to improve the checkout process (it’s amazing) because every single day customers keep checking out with a completely wrong state for their city and zip code. At least 1-3 times a day we get orders that should be going to Florida, but they put Washington, for example. It’s extremely annoying.

We were hoping that by using your plugin, our cart would behaving like a Shopify cart does, where you can only enter an address from the Google Maps drop-down, and it autofllls the real state versus a completely wrong state that the consumer chooses.

For some reason Woocommerce doesn’t stop people from creating ship-to addresses with a completely fake state and zip code combination.

We have reinstalled your plugin just now and have set the settings as you recommended, but as happened prior, we can’t see that it exists at all in our cart. No address auto-populates like Shopify carts do, nothing happens when you type in an address.

Essentially all we are trying to do is stop consumers from being allowed to place orders using fake state and zip code combinations.

    Hi again,

Sorry but we have now had to deactivate the plugin yet again because we are receiving numerous customer complaints that they now cannot check out at all.

    One just emailed us this:

I keep getting an error with my shipping address stating “to click the address suggested when typing” The address is correct and no other options are being displayed.

Hi, I’m not sure what “error” that might be since there’s no message in the plugin like this. But maybe it might be that you’re forcing use of the places autocomplete feature? See here: https://prnt.sc/pWrR-tGpcK0V

This feature when enabled requires that a customer selects their location from the suggestions shown from the google autocomplete dropdown. This would be your desired outcome if indeed you’re trying to prevent customers from entering wrong state-zip code combinations; they would have to actually select their location from the dropdown before being able to checkout…BUT they can still change it afterwards(once they’ve made a selection), this is in case Google gets it wrong (which does happen) and they need to slightly edit their address.

You can acheive the same thing by also forcing the use of the Map…so that customers need to select their location on the map before being able to checkout.

If you’ve switched from the default WooCommerce checkout to Fluid Checkout, then you need to go to Kikote Settings->Display and ensure you’ve selected a display location for the map and click save changes.

Before committing to leave the plugin on, always test the checkout yourself to see if its as expected, if not, then you can disable the plugin and come back here to tell me whats wrong. Please also include screenshots of whats happening so i can better assist.

We had done all of that and tested ourselves in private browser windows and the plugin didn’t exist on the front end. Nothing worked. No map, no drop down, nothing. We left it enabled so that you could test, and in that time, we got 2 complaints that nobody could check out. So, yet again, we were forced to disable it.

Hi, here is the map showing inside fluid checkout’s form: https://prnt.sc/xxVOQhB7tJep and I also tried out the address autocomplete and it did work.

Unfortunately my responses on the forum are delayed, so by the time you receive a reply from me, it might have been 1hour+ since I wrote it, so I wouldn’t have had time visit your website to see the issue.

If you want quicker response times you can send a direct support request from within the plugin contact options.

But as you can see from the screenshot the map does work, please ensure that you’ve gone to the “Display” settings of Kikote’s settings and selected where the map should appear and click save changes.

Then, go back to the checkout page, if the map still doesn’t appear, then please take a screenshot of the browser console for me. You can see the doc here for details on how to bring up the browser console: https://balsamiq.com/support/faqs/browserconsole/

Take a screenshot and then send it here, then you can disable the plugin again so that customers aren’t affected. I want to see if there are any errors in the plugin that might point to what’s going on with your website and the map.

@joyryde I haven’t heard from you in a while so I’ll close this thread for now. Feel free to open a new thread if you’re still experiencing issues. If you are then please read my last post and provide the screenshots in the new post

We aren’t able to get the plugin to work so we are going to give up. Thanks for your help though!
