“No matches found” when adding product to manual order

Hi there,

Just to make sure: Have you checked that products are set to being “published” and “visible”? Do they have a positive stock count and set as “In Stock”?

Finally, have you checked the browser console for any JavaScript errors?

The products in question are published and visible (in that I can get to the product page and start an order). Also checked the inventory – the product is a download, but Stock Status does show “In stock.”

However, the console does show an error:

?v=2.0:6 WebSocket connection to 'wss://public-api.wordpress.com/pinghub/wpcom/me/newest-note-data' failed: Error during WebSocket handshake: Unexpected response code: 403

Is it possible that a necessary connection is timing out, or is this unrelated?

Thanks for checking all those avenues – Doub’t the console message you’re getting is the cause of that.

Hi RK,

The report is pasted below, but here’s another item that may be important: several of my dashboard menu links are broken. For example, clicking on “Dashboard” goes to the Updates page; clicking on “Jetpack” goes to Vaultpress. Also, certain admin links aren’t accessible – I get errors stating “Sorry, you are not allowed to access that page.”

UPDATE: I upgraded PHP version to 7.2.xx; still no joy, but I can rule that out as the culprit.

I’d try and update that memory too. You could be maxing out the memory in its search.

Who are you hosted with? Do you have FTP access? You can do this yourself.

Bluehost. I did update in wp-config.php:

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M' );

However, it doesn’t seem to be effective – WooCommerce status still reads 40M. Is there another location I need to update?

I’d go higher than that and I’d also add or update the php.ini file as well. This article will help you understand why and how.

Sorted that out – I had the memory limit too far down in the config file, and I edited php.ini. I’m now at 128, but still no joy on the product search.

Instead of incrementally disabling the plugins it would be best to disable them all at once and only keep WC enabled. Then test. Something’s conflicting with this and it usually is another plugin.

Grrrr… disabled all plugins except for WC. Still no resolution. Will do some more homework, but my next step may be to deactivate and delete WC, then rebuild incrementally.

This is market as resolved, what did you do to fix? I have had the same problem for about a month…I cannot add an order manually in the admin and I need this function. Please let me know what you did. I have also done the same checks you did so far all good…it just will not find any products grrrr

This was not resolved – simply could not find a fix for the problem. I’m actually in the process of rebuilding the site from a new WP installation, though I don’t believe I’ll be using WC as my e-commerce solution.
