I use Gutenberg for my website and I’m trying to add gallery in Meow style. When I add a Gutenberg gallery, the ‘Meow gallery settings’ don’t appear under the block settings.

So I see something like this, but without the ‘Meow gallery settings’.

Is there anything I could have done wrong?

Hello! The last update of Gutenberg broke all the Gutenberg plugins, once again ?? They are always changing things. I fixed this now, can you try the last update?

Hi! Thanks, the plugin is working great after the update!

Very nice that this plugin is not using the full sized images, like the Gutenberg gallery is doing at the moment.
    Thank you for your work!

You are welcome ?? Don’t hesitate to write a little review, it will help this plugin a lot, it really needs more users. Thank you ??

I’m also testing Meow lightbox, so I might leave you a review when I’m done testing ??

The Meow gallery doesn’t seem to respect the width settings for the gallery block. If I choose ‘wide’ or ‘full width’, the gallery stays just the normal width.

@samueldw Where do you choose the width settings? You mean in the settings of the Meow Gallery settings? For which layout? Sorry, I got a bit lost ?? The plugin normally doesn’t handle the width of things.

I hope I can make myself clear with a printscreen, the printscreen is in Dutch though. Sorry for that.

If I change the width using the block icons to large width or full width, and I choose for instance
Meow gallery settings -> layouts -> Tiles
The width of the block is just the standard width.

    If I choose:
Meow gallery settings -> layouts -> Native (Gutenberg)
The block width changes with the chosen setting (normal width, large width or full width).

If it’s still unclear to you I will create 2 pages to demonstrate.

@tigroumeow Can you reproduce the issue? Or should I make example pages?

    Hi,

Sorry for the very late reply, I was on another project. Actually I wouldn’t mind an example, I tried to understand but failed to :p

    Hello,
I recently installed Gutenberg, and I don’t have the “Meow gallery settings” don’t appear under the block settings.
    Is there an issue ?

    Hi,

No problem, I thought you gave up on it ??

Hereby an example page with a native gutenberg gallery and a Meow gallery. You have to scroll down for the Meow gallery.

The ‘alignwide’ I think it’s called, doesn’t seem to work for the Meow gallery, where it does for the native gutenberg gallery.
You do need to view it on a wide screen, something like 1920×1080. The difference won’t show on a smartphone screen.

Thanks a lot for this @samueldw, the issue is now clear… and a bit more complicated than I originally thought ?? I have also discovered this “wide” related options, which are brought through a specific setting in WordPress I didn’t know about (and that displays new controls in Gutenberg). We will try our best to make it work in the next release ??
