    Hi AIOSEO Support Team,
I’ve just updated the plugin to the Version 4.0.7

I’m getting the following critical issues, when checking for overall site score:
    – No meta description was found for your page.
    – No keywords were found in your meta description.

But I correctly entered the text in the setting fields, see:

    My site is:
    https://bizsmallbiz.com/

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    @erikemanuelli,

When I visit your site I am not seeing the description in the source code at all, which is what the analyzer is picking up.

I see from your screenshot that you are setting it inside the correct place in the search appearance settings.

Question: What theme are you using?

I am wondering if this might be a theme or plugin conflict (let’s start with the theme).

And I’m assuming your home page is set to display “latest posts”. Is that correct?

Let us know and we will continue to debug this for you!

    Hi @benjaminprojas,
    thanks for your reply.

I’m using Extra theme from Elegant Themes.

Yes, my homepage is set to “latest posts”.

Please let me know if you see something that may help to fix this!

    Hi @benjaminprojas,
    touching base regarding this issue.

Also, I keep getting this error message:

    Deprecated Filters Detected

Warning: AIOSEO has detected the use of filters that have been deprecated on your site. These filters may be in use by another plugin or your theme. If that is the case, these filters most likely will not work with this plugin. Please check for an update immediately or contact our support for more information.

    Is this related?

    @erikemanuelli,

Our team is still trying to replicate the conflict with the Extra theme, and have been unsuccessful so far. Everything is working as it should.

There are two things we can try to continue troubleshooting:
    1. Temporarily deactivate all other plugins besides AIOSEO and see if the meta description appears.
    2. Temporarily activate a different theme and see if the meta description appears.

If that happens in any scenario, that will help us to determine what the issue might be and we can get closer to a fix for you.

Regarding the filters, they are not related at all to this issue. This is just a notice letting you know that a plugin or your theme has been using some old filters of ours that are no longer supported.

Can I get a list of your current plugins so I can take a closer look at that?

    Hi @benjaminprojas,
    thanks for your reply.

See the list of the plugins here:

Regarding what you suggest, I can install another theme, but how can I see if the meta description appears? Can you suggest a tool to do this?

    (@benjaminprojas)

@erikemanuelli I can see you are using a caching plugin. Can you try clearing all your cache and let me know? Then I can see if the description begins to appear.

    Hi @benjaminprojas,
    thanks for your reply.

I cleared all the cache, updated AIOSEO to Version 4.0.9, then cleared cache again, but I still see the message:

    Warning:

    Hi @benjaminprojas,
I tried to unistall all the plugins, and then installed just the AIOSEO, and I still see the message….so it’s NOT a plugin conflict.

I unistalled EXTRA and installed Twenty Twenty-OneVersion: 1.1
By the WordPress team, and the message disappeared.

So I’m pretty sure that it’s something in the theme.

Can you troubleshoot the error or do you suggest to change the theme al all?

    Hey @erikemanuelli,

We’ve been able to reproduce it now and have reached out to Elegant Themes. They should release an update shortly that will address this. I sent them instructions on how they can make their theme compatible with our plugin again.

    Hi @arnaudbroes,
thanks ?? so much for your efforts.
It’s great to hear this issue is going to be solved soon.
I look forward to seeing the update on Extra theme from the guys at Elegant Themes.

    Hi,
“I’m getting the following critical issues when checking for overall site score:
    – No meta description was found for your page.
    – No keywords were found in your meta description.”

I’m having this same issue but I do have a different theme. I am using the Melos theme. Is there any chance that the theme is the issue for me as well?

    My site is: https://undiagnoseddiseases.com/

    Thanks so much

@mls0210 that’s because you have a “Coming Soon” page on your website to visitors that aren’t logged in.

Thanks so much! I was unaware that the site had to be live first. The other changes I have been making to improve my overall site score seem to be improving the site score without actually launching the site yet.

    (@arnaudbroes)

@mls0210 for that specific feature we have developed an app that runs on an external server that analyzes your website. ??

Hi and thanks for the help! My site has been live for a few days now and I’m still seeing the critical issues of no meta description and no keyword in my meta description found.
For the no keyword section where it comes up with what has to be fixed it actually shows “Title: coming” which I was confused by. Any ideas?
