    Hello,

After installing version 1.5.2 in WP Dashboard the information related to the size of the cache it is not displaying anymore. It keeps saying “Empty cache size” and if I put my mouse over it is saying “Refreshes every 15 minutes”.

Nothing is changed after 2-3 days since I had installed this version. Today, I’ve just installed 1.5.4 but no fix.

    Can you help me please?

    Thanks,
    ionica

@i0n1ca, I’ve been unable to replicate any issues with the displayed cache size in the “At a Glance” widget. Does this occur even when there are cached pages stored in your wp-content/cache/cache-enabler directory? If yes, what type of installation do you have (e.g. single or multisite)?

@the-dude-1, thanks for providing your feedback on this issue.

    Hi @coreyk
I did not make any changes to the site, except updateing the plugin. Yes, “At a Glace” widget the information remains in “Empty cache size”.

I have a single installation of wordpress and yes, there are files stored in /wp-content/cache/cache-enabler.

I had cleared the cache manually and after 30 minutes the folder populates with folders for wp posts that are cached but the information with size does not updates in Dashboard.

    Pretty strange.

    My website is https://www.isay.ro

Reverted back to version 1.5.0 but the info is not updating in Dashboard. Really strange.

When checking the website you’ve provided above I don’t see the Cache Enabler HTML comment in your page source. Can you please install and activate the latest version? Please let me know afterwards so I can check your website.

    Hi @coreyk

The latest version is installed right after my test with 1.5.0 version. It’s activated

Thanks for the clarification. The website URL you’ve posted above is still not currently having cached pages by Cache Enabler being delivered. The HTML comment Cache Enabler appends to the cached page is not visible (and if applicable, the X-Cache-Handler response header is not set).

Please deactivate and then activate Cache Enabler again. Afterwards clear any applicable caches, like if you have a CDN caching your pages, and then check your page source. The HTML comment that should be shown will be something similar to the following:

    <!-- Cache Enabler by KeyCDN @ 18.10.2020 12:00:00 (https gzip) -->

    Hello @coreyk

Let’s take it step by step.

    – i have cdn under a subdomain cdn.isay.ro where wp-content is installed for many years
    – in wp-config.php define(‘WP_CACHE’,true); is set
    – Header set Cache-Control “max-age=86400, public” is set in htaccess
    – advanced-cache.php is present in wp-content copied by cache enabler
    – i am using cloudflare and i had stopped the cache for my site, developer mode was active, purged all cache files from cloudflare
    – deactivated the cache enabler, uninstalled, cleared cookies, installed again
    – no details found in page source for Cache Enabler by KeyCDN. Clear cache, refresh, force ctrl+R, nothing.
    – in Inspect session from Chrome for webpage document no X-Cache-Handler: php or wp was not found
    – in response header i have found only this “cache-control: no-cache, must-revalidate, max-age=0” but there is no such setting in htaccess wrote by me.

    Thanks.

The folder /wp-content/cache/cache-enabler/www.isay.ro it is populated with a lot of folders from my posts.

Thanks for the additional information. I notice that both https://isay.ro and https://www.isay.ro return a 200 status. To troubleshoot this further, what is the Site Address (URL) value when going to Settings > General from your WordPress admin dashboard?

Thanks again. Not that it’s causing any issues with Cache Enabler (at least from all of my tests) I would recommend having both of those values be all lowercase letters.

I apologize for the time it’s taking to resolve this issue you’re experiencing. With all of the details you’ve provided and without a hands on approach I’m having a hard time identifying what would be causing this on your specific install. The several installations we have for testing work correctly.

Are you comfortable with checking your database? If yes, please check your options table. In this table do you have an option_name that looks similar to _transient_cache_enabler_cache_size_<blog_id> after loading your WordPress admin dashboard? (<blog_id> should be 1 for single site installations.) Just a reminder during your tests I would recommend deactivating > uninstalling (deleting) > installing > activating the plugin when changing versions to ensure the plugin handles deleting and creating what it needs.

If you’re not comfortable with checking your database please let me know and we can proceed with another troubleshooting step instead.

    No problem @coreyk

    Here are the steps performed:

I had installed v1.4.9 on which cache size was displayed in dashboard.

In database i had no _transient_cache_enabler rows ??

    Only these 2 files

    https://cdn.isay.ro/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/transient_1.png
    https://cdn.isay.ro/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/transient_2.png

In wordpress pluggin settings I had uninstalled v1.4.9 and installed 1.5.5. In cache enabler settings I’ve made my settings and saved. In general settings I had changed the values from Website URL to lower cases and saved.

Now, in database I have the options mentioned by you.

    https://cdn.isay.ro/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/transient_3_version155.png

And the cache size is displayed in Dasboard. So, strange.

    https://cdn.isay.ro/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/cache_size.png

After the size refresh, the information is updated from database.

Many thanks for your time and feedback. We fix it ??

Cache cleared and everything but I can figure it out, why in page source of an article it is not displayed the “<!– Cached Enabler KeyCDN –> html tag mentioned by you in previous replies. ??

In this case, if html tag is not there, the cache enabler plugin is working?
