No more triggers from frontend submitted articles (ACF Frontend 3.x)

    Hi !

    I have a website using ACF frontend forms (article submitted in “pending for review” state) & Notification plugin (to allow a validator to validate submitted articles).

    Everything was working nicely until ACF Frontend 3.x came.

    Since ACF Frontend 3.x, Notification does not trigger anymore on article submission from frontend, while the submitted articles are well listed in the pending for review Articles list. No issue from backend (setting a published article to “Pending for Review” triggers the notification).

    It seems more related to Notification plugin rather than ACF since I tried temporarily another notification plugin which was triggering well on frontend article submission.

    Is there anything particular I should check to try to debug the issue ?

    Hi Matthieu, thanks for the notice!

    It indeed looks like incompatibility with the new ACF Frontend v3. I’m adding this plugin to our backlog and will surely test it. We are working on a new Notification v8 which will have a much better loading stack. It should resolve this issue as well.

    update: sad, but I had to drop Notification plugin to an alternative one.

    This switch might be temporary.

    I’m keeping an eye on future Notification updates as your plugin was having some stuff that I found convenient, so will give it a try on future updates ??
