Hi, just after upgrading to version 1.5.6, visitors immediatly dropped close to zero.
I need to use Cookiless-tracking for seeing visitors logged otherwise it’s zero (until now i didnt have to use this option for logging traffic)

    Any idea?

    Hi @nutriuser1,

I think changing by disabling cookieless tracking and clearing your cache will solve the issue.

If not, please let me know and I can take a look.

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

    Hi

I used W3 Total Cache for purging cache and nothing changed. If not selected Cookieless, the visitor stats drop to zero immediatly

If it can help for troubleshot:

    • installation 4 days ago version 1.5.5.4 (if correctly remember)
    • Default setting (cookiesless tacking OFF)
    • up to 6000 unique visitors daily – 15/20 live
    • update to 1.5.6
    • immediatly drop of all statistics close to zero

I try to install another plugin for compare because I dont know if statisitc i got with previous version were good or not (nothing to compare)

    Hi @nutriuser1,

We have found the cause of the issue. Due to an issue in our build process, the burst.min.js files were empty. This will be resolved in an update later today.

We always thoroughly test the plugin before release, but we missed this, unfortunately.

You can already download the fix from our GitHub: https://github.com/Burst-Statistics/burst

Make sure to unzip, rename the folder to burst-statistics, and re-zip. Then you can upload it to your website. You can also wait for the release later today.

Sorry for the trouble and the data you’ve missed.

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

    Hi @nutriuser1,

Sorry for all the messages, but I guess you would like to know. We have updated the version on the www.ads-software.com repo. So updating Burst should resolve the issue.

Please let me know if this works.

    Sorry for the trouble caused.

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

    Hi @nutriuser1,

Yes, you can just update to version 1.5.6.1 in the WordPress admin. That should be visible.

    Hope this helps!

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

@hesseldejong was there an email about this sent out to alert Pro users? We’re having the same issue and no update is showing up in WordPress Admin to get to 5.6.1 – with something as big as this I would think an email notification would be warranted. Does this mean we lost all of this data?
