no new comments, categories. no delete posts.

Hi All. I’ve dug around for hours on this one and am finally appealing to the collective mind:

I am unable to

-add coments (clicking submit just nulls the fields. no ajaxynessk, no comment.

-delete posts. (prompts “Are you sure?”,shows ajax. After navigatign away and back, post has returned.)

-delete/add categories (similar to posts issue)

one the following self hosted config

WordPress 2.1 clean install, with copied “wp-content” dir.
Apache 2.0.55
PHP 5.1.2
Ubuntu 6.06

I’m new to this, and a bit confused. Somethings that might be helpful/meaningful

-I have no .htaccess in wordpress home dir (I did turn on invisible)

-I’d copied the wp-content dir from another installation

-I can still create new posts

-I have full access to the databases
