    Hi,

I hope I can find some help here.
The plugin worked wonderfully until March and my ratings from Google were displayed on my page.

However, since 09.03.2023, no more ratings have been received.
APi key has not changed and also the Place ID is the same. A server change has been carried out in the meantime and I have updated the IP of the new server at Google in the API settings.

I also do not receive any error message from the plugin.
The synchronisation is set to daily.
I also tried to reinstall the plugin, which unfortunately did not work.

    Thanks for your help.

    Greetings

@samokles I’ve checked the Google reviews when search results are set to German. The most relevant reviews is 3 months old, but the second most relevant is 1 month old. Note: most relevant is not the same as newest.

If you think there have been no new reviews collected since March, please check out the Retrieved Data tab. Does this align with your relevant/newest reviews setting in the main Setup tab?

When changing hosts there are a few additional checks to make: is the IP address matching the one observed by the Google API? If there is an IP address within the error message (this will be either IPv4 or IPv6), then please add this to the API Key restrictions.

Sometimes, the billing details expire, but this is less likely. Just check you have a current card linked to your account.

Most occasionally still, the database collation does not accept emoticons. I doubt this is the problem here because all the more recent/relevant reviews do not contain any emoticons. If the first two points don’t help, please enable “Additional sanitisation of retrieved data – emoticons are removed from text” in the Setup tab.

Let me know how this goes and I’ll follow up to your reply.

@samokles I just rechecked the page, looking at the reviews listed there.

    I spotted this:

    Linda Schipp
    ★★★★★ vor einer Woche

Update: Apologies, this would be consistent with your query – if the data is not getting updated. It’s no longer 1 week, it is now 3 months.

Hi, thank you very much for the quick feedback.

On the subject of “retrieved data”:
Here I don’t see the latest and most recent evaluations, but those from March (Linda Schipp). For example, an error is not displayed.
In the Setup tab under “Review Retrieval”, “Retrieve new Reviews only” is set.

The IP that is displayed in the plugin is also stored in Google. I have now additionally stored an IPv6 address, as this was played back to me by a ping query. However, an error due to the missing IPv6 address has not been displayed so far.

I have now also activated the function “Remove emoticons from text”.

I’ll wait until Monday to see whether the data is updated and will report back with an update.

Thank you and have a nice weekend

    Hello,
    good news.
Today I saw that the data has been updated.
Depositing the IPv6 or the setting “Remove emoticons from text” seems to have been the solution.

Thank you and a good start to the week

    Good to hear!

It was probably the emoticons – the issue sounds like it was resolved this way because of the lack of error from the Google API.
