• I am not receiving any notifications from iThemes Pro. I’m running multi-user WP 5.9 with all plugins up-to-date. No notifications are received in Junk or in Quarantine. This morning I saw an error that notifications could not be sent as there was no Default Recipient.

    But:

Within ‘Settings -> Notifications’, I get an error when attempting to change the Default Recipient from ‘All “Administrator” Users’ to myself. The error is:
    notification-center.notifications[‘backup’] should be object..

is this possibly causing the problems with notifications?

  • Hi,

Yup, sounds like the “notification-center” part of the itsec-storage option (in the wp_options table) somehow got corrupted.

You could try and have a look at it from the plugin Debug page (Settings section).

But you might run into similar errors there as well.

I’m afraid you may need to uninstall/reinstall the plugin.

Before doing that you could do an little experiment by deleting the entire itsec-storage option from the wp_options table. Unfortunately that does mean all plugin settings are lost. Also untested, so only do this after making sure you have a valid database backup. Anyway the idea is to have the plugin auto regenerate the itsec-storage option on the next (admin) plugin page request.

+++++ To prevent any confusion, I’m not iThemes +++++
