no. of pictures on gallery page?

I have inserted a gallery into one of my pages and somehow one picture is put on a second page even though there is ample space left on the first page.

Is there some way to tell NG Gallery to not paginate?

The image was taken on a later date if that is important in any way – but still, there is enough space left (20 pictures are shown – is that maybe the maximum for one page?)
