    Thanks for the kind words about the plugin!

    I visited the post you linked to, and it looks like you’re using the Jetpack plugin with the ‘Sharing’ module for the share buttons that appear at the foot of that post.

    (Simple Social Icons is designed for linking to your social media profiles, and not for sharing the current page on a social network – this plugin provides the four icons I see in your header, but it’s not responsible for the share buttons in your post footer.)

    It looks like your post has three shares on Google+ (https://d.pr/eTIs ), but I don’t see a count of three on Jetpack’s Google+ button. It may be worth approaching the Jetpack team to see if they can explain the possible reasons for that: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/official-jetpack-support-resources-1?replies=1
