No option for custom page

    I installed the plugin, and get a dropdown with “NONE (WP default 404 page)”, or my other web site pages. I thought that there should be a way to select a custom page. If not, how do I do that? Ideally, I would say something simple like: this page does not exist, click here for home page and here for site map.

  • Seems like you do not have any pages. You have to create the page before. Posts are not supported – it has to be a page.

    I have a number of pages (in addition to many posts). But, from your answer, I think I got the answer to my question. First I need to create the 404 custom page, and then I need to select it in the drop down. You don’t create it there. Right?

    I created a new page, and was able to select it. It’s working.
