no option to close or 'go to next' on gallery

  • hello – I am getting many complaints that people on macs / iphones do not have the option to close images or show previous or next image.

    I do get this option on my pc computer – but can confirm it does not show on iphones. you have to hit the back button or close the browser window.

    this is a serious issue – I hope I do not have to revert to a different plugin as I like this one so much. please help.

    @mrcavallo – Can you offer any more specific details on where or what does not have any navigation being displayed?

    We use many different Mac OS and iOS devices and are not seeing what you appear to be describing. Is it possible there is some sort of plugin or current theme conflict involved in this issue?

    as I said – it works fine on my pc – but does not seem to on ios.

    I have minimal plugins on this site. id very much appreciate any suggestions – happy to give anything a go to get this great plugin working.

    @mrcavallo – Actually I am seeing no navigation from my PC as well … could you try a different Lightbox Effect as it appears something may be interfering with at least the FancyBox effect you appear to be using.

    hey Cais,

    I didn’t think of changing that option – I have changed it to the simple lightbox. I have just tested it on my iphone and whilst it does not show the ‘next’ button (but does go to next photo if you click the image) it does at least show the ‘close’ option.

    can you please confirm it works for you as well? thanks heaps.

    @mrcavallo – I’m seeing all of the navigation markers for the Lightbox … although its actually taking a bit longer than what I am used to seeing.

    The Lightbox Effects included with NextGEN Gallery are all more or less standard stock libraries, so there is still a possibility you are seeing some sort of conflict with another plugin, or possibly your current theme.

    Just an observation, but the “Range of Services” already appears fully in view when first visiting the site and closes as the page resolves … there might be something in that effect to look at.

    re the menu – I have noticed this too – but I built the site for free so wont spend too much time figuring out why its happening.
