When I select woocommerce settings > shipping > woocommerce services > add package > service package, the only options I get are for priority mail. I’m not getting any options for 1st class mail.
    please advise.

    Hey @buzzmandt,

If you aren’t seeing First Class Mail options, the reason is likely due to the size or weight of the package being used. You can see the restrictions that USPS has for First Class mail on their site here, but the weight restrictions are the following:

Maximum weight for First-Class Mail letters is 3.5 oz; for large First-Class Mail envelopes and parcels, the maximum weight is 13 oz.

A good way to see what delivery options should be available is to use the Rate Calculator on the USPS site with the info for that package/order.

If you see First Class options in the Rate Calculator but not during the label purchasing flow on your site, let us know what the package dimensions are, as well as the total weight (of the items and package).

when I go into woocommerce settings > shipping > woocommerce services and select add package (Add boxes, envelopes, and other packages you use most frequently) priority mail is the only options I get. Also, i tried manipulating a previous order to 1st class specifications to create a new shipping label and 1st class doesn’t show up there either.

    Hey @buzzmandt,

That screenshot is super helpful, thanks!

USPS essentially thinks of packages in 2 distinct types:

    – Service packages, which are things like the “Flat Rate” packages that USPS offers.
    – Custom packages, which is pretty much anything that isn’t one of the above USPS Flat Rate packages.

The reason that you are currently only seeing Priority Mail options is because First Class requires the that a “Custom Package” be entered and selected, from this section of the settings:

If you still aren’t able to get First Class rates to show for the label (after adding and selecting a custom package that meets those requirements), send me a screenshot of what packing info you’re using and what you’re seeing in the label screens. Thanks!

Yep, that was it. I think I was over thinking the process.

    Thank you much
