• Hi,

I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find an answer to my issue. My www.ads-software.com site, dropinstl.com, is having a strange issue I don’t know how to fix. I am happy to provide screenshots to anyone willing to help.

    1. When I log in using dropinstl.com/wp-admin, it takes me to a stripped-down page where there is no styling anywhere. The navigation menu is just a link list that goes many scrolls down the page and the content is all at the very bottom that you normally see at the top.

    2. When I click one of the nav items, it takes me to the proper URL (to edit a page, a post or even something backend, like the plug-ins page), but the message is “Oops! That page can’t be found.”

So basically, I can’t access anything CMS. The main menu is stripped down and doesn’t provide any help as every link is basically broken. I can’t even get in to check if a plug-in is broken or out of date or if my theme is broken. Nothing works.

Anyone see this before and willing to help?

  • @jponder94 What you are describing sounds like you are getting css and js blocked. This can happen due to mixed content errors (files being served via http when the page is using https) I’d be happy to take a quick look and see what is happening. The frontend of your site isn’t showing any mixed content errors, however, depending on how you setup/secured your website will depend on what occurs in the backend.

To troubleshoot this would be easiest from a desktop using the Chrome browser.

After logging into the admin section right click and select “Inspect” from the drop-down.

When the inspector opens look to the upper right corner of the inspect window to see if there are any errors or warnings. click on the error/warning and see what it says is the problem and post that here.

If you are showing mixed content errors then try removing the “s” in your URL to revert to non-secure URL. Then install a mixed content fixer like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/really-simple-ssl/ activate it and follow the step by step setup for ensure that mixed content errors are resolved.
