I am overhauling a website and need to migrate orders from the old website to the new development environment. I have successfully migrated about 95% of the orders over, but the 15 most recent orders refuse to come over due to a conflict with order numbers.

I have installed the Sequential Order Numbers plugin, which has helped keep things consistent between the old and new site, but these 15 most recent orders are not behaving correctly.

Even when I click “Update” instead of “Skip” in the advanced import settings parameters, it still just skips over these orders.

    Thoughts?

    Hi @benstewart906 ,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The issue you’re facing is due to a post ID conflict. In WordPress, everything is treated as a post, including products and orders. Since WordPress doesn’t allow multiple posts to have the same ID, if an ID is already in use, the orders cannot be imported with the same post ID.

To resolve this, you will need to import the 15 orders that are causing issues by unmapping the “ID” field in step 3 of the import mapping page. This way, the orders will be imported with new IDs. Since you’re using the Sequential Order Numbers plugin, you should still be able to retain the original order numbers.

Please give this a try and let us know how it goes.
