No page-specific theme background images

    It would be useful to have some way to customize the theme background image setting from the customizer which currently applies site wide.

  • This is by design I think.
    However If you want this on a per page basis and are comfortable with coding a bit, you can create a child theme and install Advanced custom fields. Then replace or extend the background option with the image field option of ACF. That way you can add a custom image on every page.
