• Hello,

I’ve searched high and low for info/posts on this and couldn’t find anything.

I just updated from 2.0 to 2.0.2. Everything works fine except the my pages, they just redirect back the index page (which I know is supposed to happen if the page isn’t found). I have NO problems accessing cats and individual posts.

I’m sure this is a permalink/mod-rewrite issue, so I tried manually editing the htaccess file, and also tried updating it via the WP panel but nothing has worked. I’m not sure what to do next.

    The site is https://www.kathysgetaways.com.

The page links are on the upper right (About Us /Backstory / Email).

    Help!

  • had that happen to me. I upgraded several blogs, but it only did that once. Probably a bug. you can report it at trac.www.ads-software.com since it happened to two of us

I have the same problem. Are yours visible under Page Management? Mine are.

Yes, they’re visible under Page Management but editing and/or resaving doesn’t do anything. Newly created pages also have the same problem (link shows up but does not work).

I’m wondering if there is a way to recreate or repair that portion of the database? Not sure what to do with the htaccess file since WP now handles much of that internally.

Is there anyone out there with php/rewrite experience that can help with this….I really don’t know much in that area and haven’t been able to fix this.

    I’ve tried the following…

    Adjusting the ‘list_pages’ tag.
    Repairing the database.
    Deleting the htaccess.
    Resetting the permalinks.

Not sure what else to try, and I didn’t feel confident enough to start digging into the database.

    Any ideas???

Me, four. Come the Revolution, first thing we do, is shoot the Dashboard Developer.

Ack! I can’t figure out how to fix this…isn’t there any killer permalink/mod-rewrite folks out there willing to help?

Where in the WP database does it store rewrite instructions?

I guess I could go back to 2.0 but that would leave the security loophole open.

    Help! Help!

In Trac, Ryan is ottering with rewrite.php, if any want to be the few, the proud, the SVN.
