No paragraphs in email

    I was creating a form for a client and when testing it, the notification email had no paragraphs in it, just one long block of solid text. After doing some research in the forums, others said the same thing happened in previous months, but they solved it by going back to a previous plugin version. Since the 5.8.7 update, paragraphs don’t work in the email. I installed an older version of the plugin and it worked properly.

    Please fix the plugin issue.

    However, I installed an earlier version of Contact Form 7 which fixed the problem for now.

    What email settings do you have in the Mail tab panel?

    To protect personal data, hiding email addresses in the settings or replacing them with dummy addresses is strongly advised. You can also include screenshots.

    I have set up dozens of forms using Contact Form 7 and never had this problem. If it is something wrong with my mail form, why did installing an earlier version CF7 fix the problem?

    Update: I have not made any changes to the form or the email set up and now when I test the form I get the message: There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”

    What if you clear the “Use HTML content type” checkbox?

    I updated the plugin, unchecked the HTML content type box and tested the form, but now the form won’t work at all. It says “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”

    I fixed the email error. I updated CF7 to the latest version. The “html content type” box was unchecked in the mail tab. When I received the e-mail, it contained html code in the message body and the form answers were all grouped together one after the other with no paragraphs. I went back in and checked the “html content type” box and tried the form again. This time, the html code I used did not show, but the entire email contained no paragraphs with everything in one long run-on sentence.

    I still haven’t heard back about this problem. In addition to no paragraphs in the email, there are no spaces between form questions unless I use paragraph tags within the form set up, which I have never had to do before. As I stated before, there is no problem if I revert back to an earlier version of CF7. The problem is with the latest version of CF7.
