Hello! Unfortunately I couldn’t find a solution to my problem anywhere. When I try to reset a password, I get the following e-mail:

    Ihr AbcTestsite-Kennwort wurde zurückgesetzt.
    Neues Kennwort:
    Ihr AbcTestsite-Team
    /?a=set_password_from_key&key=U3KlToJfuxxGJZOIPjfl&login=user41
Dies ist eine automatische E-Mail von AbcTestsite

After Neues Kennwort:/[New password]: there should be the new password, but nothing is displayed. And the line /?a=set_password_from_key&key=U3KlToJfuviGJZOIPjfl&login=user41 should not be there. What am i doing wrong?

    Thank you,
    Lena

That would indicate that you have not fully set up the plugin. For password reset to work, you need a user profile page and that needs to be set in the plugin’s options.

    1. Create a page and add the shortcode [wpmem_profile]. This will create a page for users to reset passwords, change their password, and update their profile.
    2. In the plugin’s main options, in the setting for User Profile page, select the page you just created from the dropdown and save the settings.

Once you’ve done that, the link in the password reset will point to that page.

See the following FAQ for more info:

    Hi Chad,

thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to solve the whole problem yet. I have created the profile page and when I reset the password, I receive an email without a password. The link to the profile page in the e-mail works, but we had always the new passwort in the e-mail too.

The e-mail is formatted as follows in the e-mail settings:
Your [blogname] password has been reset.
    New password: [password]
    Your [blogname] team

    and what I get is:
Your [blogname] password has been reset.
    New password:
    Your [blogname] team

The new password was always sent in the email using the shortcode [password]. Now there is just an empty space where the shortcode [password] is. As if [password] is being ignored. Or could it be, that it’s not possible to send the new password via e-mail anymore?

    Lena
