no payment methods for your state

    • I have installed the plugin “PayPal Plus for WooCommerce”
    • I added the string “PayPal/Lastschrift/Kreditkarte” to title and description as explained in the documentation
    • I added the Client-ID and the secret for the paypal application
    • In the woocommerce settings -> payments i see:
    • PayPal (disabled)
    • PayPal Express Checkout (disabled)
    • PayPal PLUS (enabled)

    So, when i now i click the purchase button on this page:

    then the Checkout form opens as expected. But instead of getting a selection of payment methods i get:

    “Sorry, it seems that there are no available payment methods for your state. Please contact us if you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements.”

    However, when i disable “PayPal PLUS” payment and enable “PayPal” then all seems well, i can proceed to PayPal as expected.

    I tried with the Edge Browser. What am i doing wrong with PayPal PLUS ?

    Paypal-Plus is only for the German Market, as far I know!

    well, our shop is a german shop hostet in a data center in germany and owned by a german company. What more ‘german’ do we need ?? ?

    from the paypal webiste:

    At the moment, PayPal Plus is only available for customers having their registered office in Germany. Nonetheless, international transactions work. Customers not being in Germany can only choose between the payment methods PayPal and Credit card.

    The target country of your Customer needs to be germany, in order to use PayPalPlus. I don’t see any country field in your checkout, that’s probably why it doesn’t work

    We figured out how to get it to work (for us). Maybe others who have the same issue can try the same fix:

    • We deactivated and removed all paypal related woocommerce plugins
    • We added back the paypal plus for Woocommerce plugin
    • We added back the other plugins:
    • aelia currency switcher
    • paypal direct checkout
    • finally we configured the PayPal Plus plugin and the aelia currency switcher

    And now it works as expected ??
