    Hello there,

    If I assign a subscription manually through your “members” tab, the person never gets a prompt to pay (found another person’s thread from 2 years ago in which you promised similar functionality would be developed in the future). So then I don’t quite understand what the purpose of manual assignment is. Instead of “New member” your button should say “new payment exception” where you add a person since they never have to pay. At least that’s how I see your plugin operating at this time.

    /register, /account, /account/subscriptions, and /account/payments, all display the subscription details (uggo), but none of them have a prompt to actually make a payment.

    Also, how does one edit billing details after being assigned a subscription? Doesn’t seem to be a thing except in the registration form at the time you pick/pay for the subscription but only as a user. If you’re manually assigned a subscription before you make your first payment you never get a chance to edit that. Edit profile should extend to include billing details too. Credit cards expire, people move, you know, it’s not meant to last forever.

    Last one: wow your plugin’s subscription details and payment histories are ugly. It’s like you’re stepping back in time to a site built in 1999.

    Ok, all done.

    What a mess, guys. 2 different “premium” addons that hide billing details. On top of that, the front-end form details are generated in the invoices addon vs the main addon. What is the logic there? Block features behind paywalls?

    .pms-billing-details{
        display:none;
    }

    Hi @phpscaresme,

    Thank you for your message!

    This is how the flow of this functionality works: once you have added the user to a subscription, you can set his subscription to pending. After, on the “My Account Page”, the user will be able to retry the payment and to fully pay for the membership.

    If you are using the manual payment option, then the payment details are not relevant since it has nothing to do with our plugin. In this particular case, the payment can be done as you wish – face to face/ via bank account transfer etc.

    For Paypal Standard as a payment gateway, the users are able to change the payment details on Paypal’s website.

    And yes, there are paid only features. This plugin is being developed and maintained by small team and that’s how we can support and update the plugin moving forward.

    With Kind regards,

    Got it, thanks, will try to abide by the awkward workflow.

    I’m not using a manual payment method, using stripe, but there’s a lot of awkward choices in your plugin. Hiding details both by css and some really weird logic of extra form details (part of which are billing details). When editing one’s profile for example billing details are hidden. Why? Where do you edit the billing details?

    I’m not very impressed so far, honestly.

    I have nothing against you getting paid, but the product should at least do what it says it does. So far it’s been false advertising.

    Hello @phpscaresme,

    The plugin works correctly and does what we advertise, we are not selling you false promises. I agree with you that the code is not perfect, but what is.

    The Billing Details should be visible in the edit-profile form if they are requested at registration, I am not sure what’s happening there, it might be a bug. I will ask my colleague to investigate and we will fix it if that is the case.

    But also, since you are a paid customer, please open a ticket on our website and explain any other issues you might face there: https://www.cozmoslabs.com/support/open-ticket/
    These forums are only to offer support for people using the Free version of the plugin.

    Regards.

    I didn’t say it isn’t perfect, just said that it doesn’t do what it advertises. Sure, you can disagree with me all you want, but bottom line is – it failed me. Moved on to another option.

    Good luck bamboozling future users and twisting their words ??

    PS: as far as the paying customer part goes, you can bet I’m not one of them anymore nor will I become one again. Sorry!
