    I need to create “/wordpress/core/6.5.3/.htaccess” but every time I tried it says “could not write .htaccess file. Please check file permissions” how can I make a permission to make htaccess

    Hi,

    Out plugin can only edit the existing .htaccess file in the root folder of the WordPress installation. If you can’t create a .htaccess file you will have to reach out to your host. Maybe your server doesn’t even use Apache/htaccess.

    thanks for the help

    I tried to install “litespeed” but it kept saying I need to add the messages on “htaccess”

    However, I found that my website host (wordpress) doesn’t provide htaccess

    does it mean that I can’t install litespeed plugin?

    I know litespeed is quite effective boost for my website since I used it in my previous one…

    is there any alternative way I can boost my site?

    Litespeed/OpenLiteSpeed is a Web Server Software ( the software running on the VM/machine that serves the files to the people visiting your website). .htaccess are files used by Apache (a different server software) to customize some of it’s configuration for specific folders.

    LiteSpeed does have a cache plugin for WordPress which has various optimization options but it will only work if your host is using the LiteSpeed Web Server.

    If you want to learn more about how servers work and how to optimize your website for each one you can find plenty of tutorials online but first find out what your website actually uses.
