No Permission error with fresh installation from Plesk
-
I am a new user of WP and am getting similar issues.
I have just installed WP with Plesk autoinstall in my own server space for my domain..
It shows the version as wp 2.0-21
My wordpress index.php is at the root of the url while the rest is in a folder under root.I have uploaded a newhtaccess fileand changed the wp_forgot name file to let the blog appear when m url is keyed.
It works. Now the issue is as :
But once I try to log in through Admin, It shows only the Dashboard and no other links..which I cannot drill into any links.
Second I tried the Force install from here :
https://markjaquith.wordpress.com/2006/03/28/wordpress-error-you-do-not-have-sufficient-permissions-to-access-this-page/It now allows me view “Profile” and also to drill into and update it.No Other Links work.
SO I tried to rename the table prefix to “asdf” in the wp_config file.
Once I tried to access it in the blog , it asked me to reinstall.
I did that…it threw me a new autogenerated password for “admin” user. Now if i log in with https://www.mywebsite/wordpress/wp-admin/
with this new password I can see, edit and drill down other sections of the blog and all looks fine.
But it would not take my Admin password. Also If i use the login link from my blog it does not allow me to login page.
Can someone please help.. Im new to WP.I have done reinstallation, it doesnt help.
SInce my blog does not have content/data in it yet, so if needed I can do a manual install of the latest 2.7 version. Will ithelp?
