Directory /home/mcgilk80/public_html/blog/wp-content/gallery/2015-adorable-children-contest_1 is not writeable !
Unable to create directory /home/mcgilk80/public_html/blog/wp-content/gallery/2015-adorable-children-contest_1/thumbs/thumbs !

I have checked folder permissions and all are set to 755.

@mcgilk80 – You may want to verify those permissions with your web host to ensure they are actually being used …

I have them set to 755. Even tried 777 and nothing changes, I still get the error.

@mcgilk80 – Yes, and did you web hosting service verify your changes were actually being accepted in your server environment?

I have a ticket sent to them, but they sometimes tend to not answer in a timely manner. When I look at both the ftp and my file manager they (blog, wp-content) are set to 755. Is there more to it than that?

We got it. But had to set permissions to 777.

@mcgilk80 – Definitely follow up with your web host … those permissions do not normally need to be set so high.

    Thanks!
