@pradeepkamadana what is the post you are trying to share? Can you provide a link to it?

Have you set a featured image for the post?

    Thanks,

@northernbeacheswebsites Almost all the posts from my site https://www.cryptogainn.com are not showing images when auto posted in LinkedIn.
For example, this is the original post from the web site with featured image :
    https://cryptogainn.com/bitcoin-is-hot-however-same-is-not-true-for-crypto-stocks/
And this is the post link after getting auto posted in LinkedIn:
    https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6915522989841145856
My web site is using FIFU plug in (https://fifu.app/) for featured images and when manually posted, the post along with images are being posted in LinkedIn without any glitch. Is there any compatibility issue with this particular plugin?
Please look into this and advise.
    Thank you.

    Hi @pradeepkamadana,

If you try sharing the exact same post again e.g. https://cryptogainn.com/bitcoin-is-hot-however-same-is-not-true-for-crypto-stocks/ does the image work?

If it does work, then I know what the issue is, and there is a pathway to resolve it.

If you share it again and the image does not work again, can you try changing the plugin settings “Share Method” to “Simple” – this is done in the “Sharing Options” tab.

    Thanks,

@northernbeacheswebsites If I share the particular post manually, everything works fine and image gets displayed. But when it was auto posted, the images doesn’t work.

Just now I shared the post manually and here it is, with the image getting displayed perfectly. Check this:
    https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6915581550134775808

    Hope you got my point.
Do you want me to change the settings to simple and see?

    Hi @pradeepkamadana,

I am finishing now for the week, but I will be back on Monday, but let me leave you with as much proactive advice as possible.

What I said before was to try sharing the same post again using our plugin – not sharing manually – I assume when you say that you mean sharing the link on LinkedIn itself which is not what I said to try.

So you need to try this. Now if sharing the post again via our plugin the image does work, the issue here is a server issue where LinkedIn is reading the link of a page which hasn’t kind of fully established yet. This is rare but it does happen. Unfortunately in the free version of the plugin I don’t provide a solution for this.

However in the pro version of the plugin, AutoSocial: https://northernbeacheswebsites.com.au/autosocial/ we have an option which resolves this issue. If you purchase the pro version of the plugin, go to the plugin settings and go to the “General Settings” tab and then check “Activate delayed mode”, this will share the post to LinkedIn not straight away but put a delay on it so when LinkedIn does read your post it can see the image ok. There are many other great features of the pro version as well including it can share to multiple social networks so it’s a good investment. The pro version also has a satisfaction guarantee so if the images don’t work for LinkedIn, I will happily refund your purchase ??

But if sharing the post again via our plugin still doesn’t work, then yes, try the simple mode out. Thanks and have a good weekend,

    Thank you. Happy weekend.
I have not posted on LinkedIn manually. I have done it by using your plug in only.
Let me try simple and see then.
Will check up with you on Monday.
    Cheers!
