No posts found! (Lunar sell photos online)

    (woocommerce version 2.6.7)

    Just bought this plug in – looks to be exactly what I want – however is only half working.

    I have taken some pictures, converted them to products etc and all works fine. They display as products on the shop page with price etc – no problems

    I have used the short code [lunar categories=”] and it displays as a gallery with lightbox absolutely fine – no probems

    However when I use the short code [lunar_woo_three_cols categories=”wedding, landscape” items_per_page=”9″] (with appropriate changes) I get a page showing “No posts found!”.

    I have checked and double checked the lunar categories (which work OK on ordinary gallery), I thought it might be because I did not make woo categories so I have gone back and created woo categories and assigned the products – no difference. My current theme is Freedom 1.0.9 which woo warns may not be totally compatible so I have also loaded customizr 3.4.34 which I intend to fully swap to once I have got lunar working (I am playing on non menued pages at the moment so the front stays relatively stable its a new site with only a handful of visitors) but the problem persists.

    I am new to wordpress – and have not done anything web build related for a couple of years before which I had played with drupal a few times – I am OK playing with code direct under someone elses guidance and am horribly slow as out of practice. I suspect I am missing something ultra basic but would really love to get this working properly. If it did not work at all I would just go for a refund but because the gallery works I would like to get the other bit going as well.

    OK I have solved this problem myself. You need to create the categories in WooCommerce before you create a gallery and convert to products. When you convert to products you get a drop down box for price and one for woo category. If you have not created any categories then you do not get a drop down box or any “you need to create categories” warning you just get a no posts found.

    Hopefully having this up will help someone else because the plug in is great.
