No preview image in facebook by insert post link

  • Hello,

    I’ve the problem with https://www.culinatalie.com that I can’t get a thumbnail image while I insert my URL in facebook (linked posts).

    I already checked the facebook tool and I’ve got different notices:

    – Check that the webserver is running, and that there are no firewalls blocking Facebook’s crawlers.
    – The ‘og:type’ property is required, but not present.
    – The ‘fb:app_id’ property should be explicitly provided, Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog.

    It worked till a few days ago, but now I can’t share my links incl. an autom. generated image. Could anybody help me with this please?

    Which plugin are you using to handle the Facebook preview image?

    Dear Andrew,

    thanks for your reply. I don’t have any special plugin for that. It worked till a few days before without any problems. These are my actual plugins:

    Facebook will choose a random image of their own algorithm if you don’t have a plugin to handle that. Rather than focus on why it was working before, I would recommend looking at a plugin like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/simple-facebook-og-image/

    Hi Andrew, I found out, that only this post is the problem: https://culinatalie.com/pasta/spaghetti-veganese/

    All others work. I really don’t know what’s wrong. ??

    have you ID’d why this happened Im having same problem where I cant post directly on my FB page or in groups yet if I share from my WP page using shareholic a preview is generated!?
