No previews, no white progress bar

  • The plugin appears to have no effect on my site. I do not see previews. So I tested the option to turn the progress bar white, but that has no effect either.

    I have used the ‘Save changes’ and ‘Update posts’ buttons.

    Hi, are you using any other video plugin on your site? How are you adding the video to your post? Are you using the official Youtube block for adding the video or are you manually pasting an embed code or some other kind of HTML?

    Hi Kevin,

    I added the videos using the standard Gutenberg YouTube embed block.

    The issue I described appeared fixed a day later.

    However, I had another problem where I could not set the alignment and width correctly. Also, the “Additional CSS class(es)” in the block settings appeared twice, and was empty (instead of, for instance, “wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio”).

    I played around with the SiteGround Optimizer settings. I had already turned off lazy load in that plugin, and had cleared the cached. The problem persisted even when deactivating the SiteGround plugin altogether. It disappeared only when I deactivated Lazy Load for Videos. Puzzling.
