In your host you will need to create a db and a user and link it.

    They can guide you better.

Check out Detailed Instructions. Step by step instructions, including how to create the user.

You shouldn’t have to create a user, if you can access phpMyAdmin, then you’re in as a user. By default, it’s the name of your account.

What do you mean, it didn’t work? What happens when you try creating a new DB in admin’s front page? Where it says “Create new database”?

At the top of phpMyAdmin it should say something like:

    Welcome to phpMyAdmin 2.6.4-pl2

MySQL 4.0.25-standard running on localhost as your_username@localhost

If it says something like that, then you’re logged into it as your account.

Does your hosting account even allow you to run a MySQL DB? Some plans out there don’t.

    Hi

    Problem is solved.
The key was that the user was not created by me directly, but automaticly by my hosting service. They finnaly answered me with the correct user name.
    Thanks all for your help.

    Best!
