No privileges to post or newpost

Just installed latest version tonight. Each time I go to write a post as the admin, I get a “page error” and when I look at the details it says I don’t have permissions.

I upgraded without reading any instructions <hanging head>. I just unzipped the files and copied them over top what I already had. Not sure if there was anything else I need to do?

I FTP’d to the directory and gave “EVERYONE” write and execute privileges, but I know it can’t stay that way. How do I control the privileges?
