I have installed this much needed plugin today, I have both WP and Zencart running from the same database. The products from zen cart are displayed on my sidebar along with the product image and product name, however the price is not shown and where I believe the price should be displayed is “0
    Sale: 0 Save: 50% off”

You can see the sidebar with missing price information here: https://www.beehavendesignz.com/blog/

I would appreciate your guidance is a fix / solution for the price to be displayed or the removal of the pricing information. Ideally i would like the price to remain and display as it should in zen cart.

What are your Zen Cart configuration settings for:
Product Info->Product Info – Show Sales Discount Savings Status
Product Info->Product Info – Show Sales Discount Savings Dollars or Percentage

Also, are the products’ “special” prices based on “specials” pricing or a Salemaker sale?

Both lat9 and I have tested this, and cannot replicate the issue you describe. Once you provide some information for us regarding your settings, we might be able to help you get to the bottom of your issue..

    Hello Lat9 and DivaVocals,

Please find below the answers to the questions asked, I do hope you are able to help me resolve this price not displaying issue ??

I have also applied the latest plugin updates for your Zen4WP plugins this morning with still no change to the price display within the widgets.

I do apologies for the delay in my reply to your request for further information. My son was in hospital and we only got home last night, I didn’t have time nor access for the Internet during my stay with him in the hospital the past few days.

I look forward to working with you as much as I can to resolve this price display trouble I am seeing on my site. Thanks for the awesome support ??

Sorry about your son.. hope the little one is better now.. ??

One last question.. what WordPress theme are you using (in case the issue is related to your theme).. Have you tried placing the widgets in other widget ares, and do you get a different result?? Can you try changing themes to one of the WordPress default themes, and report back if you get a different result..

I am using Genesis for WordPress along with the Metro Pro Genesis theme.

I have tried using the widgets in various other areas with still the same results of no pricing information being shown.

I have also tested the Zen4WP plugin / widgets on two other wordpress themes being the 2015 theme and the classic theme and both themes displayed the same results of no pricing information.

It is a strange issue as there is a functioning connection between my database and the plugin as I can see the product images and names, it is only the pricing that is affected. I even tried turning off all sales in zen cart for normal pricing (no sales or specials) and still the same result with no pricing displayed in the widget.

It is strange as I cannot reproduce this, and I know from using Genesis that there is no compatibility issues with Genesis at all.. Hmmmm.. We may need more info from you.. hmmmm…

one thing ocurred to me.. and that is possible interference from another plugin.. To test you would need to remove all inactive plugins (which you should do anyway as sometime inactive plugins can cause other issues even if they aren’t active.. Then disable ALL active plugins, and then start by reactivating Zen4WP.. If it is working then it is MOST likely that there is another plugin that is causing the issue.. You can then narrow down which plugin by reactivating them one by one..

Thank you for your support and suggestions to help resolve my problem with pricing displaying for the widgets in my sidebar.

I have found that when I enabled the Custom Sidebar plugin that the pricing disappeared, thus the conflict is with the custom sidebar plugin.
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/custom-sidebars/

Have you had any other errors or conflicts that you know of with custom sidebar in the past that you can point me into the direct for correcting this conflict?

    Plugin Author DivaVocals

    (@divavocals)

I don’t know anything about this plugin to give you an answer as to why it conflicts with Zen4WP.. My guess is that there is something wrong with this plugin, and you will have to ask the author of the other plugin to look into why..

I would suggest looking at another plugin or better yet going to the Genesis support forum and find out how to add the functionality you are using this plugin for without the need of a plugin.. I personally use Genesis with the Dynamik child theme by Cobalt apps which allows me to build anything I want with Genesis. I can create widget areas anywhere I want without the need of a plugin.. Since you are using the Metro Pro child theme you could look at the Genesis Extender plugin by Cobalt Apps which brings the functionality you get with the Dynamik child theme to other Genesis child themes.. This would give you the ability to create widget areas without the need of a plugin.

My apologies for the long delayed response.. Had some personal medical issues to contend with.. In any case I accidentally re-create the Zero price issue.. My resolution may be similar to what you need to do to resolve you price display issue.

Can you post here the contents of you Zen Cart configure.php file (please HIDE your data base settings)

Then please post the settings you have in your Zen4WP config..

I found that because I had the WRONG SSL settings in the Zen4WP config, that the prices displayed as ZERO..My Zen Cart configure.php file showed “false” and I had inadvertently entered this a “true” in the Zen4WP settings.. Once I corrected the Zen4WP config settings, then the price information displayed correctly..
