• I couldn’t center or adjust the album in any way. When I inserted the code, I had an enormous amount of gray area around the photos and I still was not able to center the gallery.

I couldn’t see the photos in the editor without publishing. It would be easier to have the gallery plugin feature to the side of the editor instead of scrolling down. And a mouseover did not give a lightbox appearance – I tried both lightbox settings with no improvement.

There’s also no title and description feature which seems to me should be standard.

Good quick support and code fixes for these if you want to go through the trouble is available, so I’ve increased the rating.

  • Hi Joyce,

    Thanks for the feedback

It’s always nice to open up a support ticket before giving a rating to let a developer at least try and help you with your issues.

    Captions
If you take a look in the support forum you’ll see I recently helped someone add captions to their gallery: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/titles-or-captions-above-or-below-thumbnails?replies=2

    Centering Images
Centering the images is also very easy but various between themes. The enourmous grey area is likely caused by your theme’s CSS. I helped another user to center their images here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/center-the-display-of-thumbnails?replies=7

    Photos
The photos are added to the metabox on the edit/publish screen.

    Mouseover not giving lightbox appearance
This sounds like a Javascript error on your website which would break the lightbox functionality.

If you’d like to open up a support ticket with your issues, as well as a live URL to your gallery, I will gladly help you resolve them.

If you upgrade this plugin to include all of these as features instead of code I have to insert, then I’d be happy to try it again. I need something easy for a friend to use who knows nothing about any code.

I’ll give it an extra star for your quick support services, though.

    Thanks!

I shall definitely consider captions as an option in a future release. If you ever decide to use it again, please open up a support ticket for any issues and I’ll be more than happy to help you resolve them.
