    Hi Stephen!

I know you’re terribly busy — I seem to be having similar problems to earlier posters before your recent upgrade (I’ve just uploaded 1.6.0).

I’m stuck on “No recent tweets,” despite knowing there must have been (username field empty; hashtag entered: #wine), despite properly entered Twitter API data, despite proper permissions (777) for the plugin and image folder…anything else I’m missing?

I’m running WordPress 4.0, using the Executive Pro Theme on a Genesis parent …(And apologies, I’m mostly newbie, but can follow directions!)

    Best,
    Aimee

    Hi Aimee,

Please could you turn on debug mode and let me know the output so that I can try to replicate the issue?

Can you also confirm that you have entered your API username and password in Settings? And can you also please check your error_log for issues?

    Thanks.

    Hi Aimee,

Please can you get back to me with more information so that I’m able to assist?

I’m having this same issue. I am confused by your advice, however. There is no place in the Settings or General Settings where I can enter the API username and password. Where is this found?

    Thanks.

    Hi Dogunter,

In the Dashboard if you look on the left hand menu you will see Settings. Mouseover that to expand another menu and in there you will see ThinkTwit, for me it’s about 3/4 down the list. Click here and then you will find the ThinkTwit Settings page where at the bottom you can add your API consumer key and secret.

Please let me know how you get on.

    HI Stephen,

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I have those settings. I have entered my Twitter app’s Consumer Key and Consumer Secret Key but that hasn’t made a difference. I’ve set the update_frequency to both 0 and then -1 to see if live, no cacheing would help. Nothing has worked so far. I’m using WP version 4.1 and ThinkTwit v 1.6.1.

    Hi David,

Ok, sounds like you’ve done everything correctly. Could you turn on debug and take a copy of the output and send that and your error_log to me – you can get in touch at https://thepicketts.org/contact, I’ll help you debug the issue.

    Thanks.

Please can you confirm whether the latest update I shared with you has resolved this issue?

    Hello,

I’m going to release an update (1.6.2) to fix this issue and so resolve this ticket.
