• I contacted them within hours of the reoccurring and immediately said I’d like to cancel if possible. I was met with a message of a strict no refund policy comment and even though I did not want to move forward with the product, they chose not to cancel my account and refund the money. Pretty disappointed. Hopefully my PayPal dispute will solve this. Buyer beware

TURN OFF AUTO SUBSCRIPTION! They want you to not notice, they want you to forget, and they will rob you of your money if you don’t want the product anymore. Nothing like a digital product not being refundable… Will definitely use Yoast SEO for every client moving forward.

Sweet victory. PayPal will dispute and refund your money even if these scoundrels tell you that they cannot refund you. I get what a policy is, but seriously, within 24 hours of the rebill and no refund? Must be struggling…

    Be fair to your customer.

Ignoring the insults in this review, you were still using the product, so it’s disingenuous to expect a refund.

How was he still using the product if he contacted you within 24hs??

    He’s right.
    You’re stealing.

adogum i just responded to another guy bout this, im seriosly shocked, i havent seen this type of behavior in a LONG time. Glad you got your money back. I was looking into purchasing this product. VERY glad I didnt. Something is wrong with this guy.

“Michael Torbert” if they were still using the product. Ask they deactivate, or cancel the license. If you dont have a license system. Build one. Its not too hard for someone to get the source code for plugins. Honestly you should treat your old customers way better then this. Not too mention there are TONS of wordpress plugins for seo out there. This attitude is going to hurt you more then help you. My advice to you is, seriously think about what your doing.

I subscribe to a bunch of plugins and themes and they all auto-renew. I don’t know where imhere123 gets his/her information, but as long as I’ve been doing this, all WordPress theme developers and plugin developers with PRO versions have auto-renew subscriptions. And, I use WPMUDEV, Gravity Forms, and many other plugins that all auto-renew. I have no problem with that.

Recently, a plugin developer I subscribed to also told me they do not refund after the renewal, because if they did that, everyone would be cancelling their subs after the got what they needed out of the plugin.

There’s a balance between the two sides – the one who wants to use the plugin features and then cancel. And, the plugin developer who needs to run a business.

It’s a sad state of affairs when a bunch of people pile on about auto-renew, when it’s a fact of life and how theme and plugin developers keep the churn rate down. If they didn’t, so many people would fall off their subscriptions, that it would be hard to run a business.

If you don’t like it, then find another line of work, because this is how it is today. Even my Adobe account auto-renews. So doesn’t my Google Gsuite and my WP Engine account.
