We have a page on our site called “3+1 Leadership Development” (https://www.smwc.edu/academics/departments/business-leadership/31-leadership-development/). I know it has been indexed, since it shows up in the results for “leadership development”. However, when I search for “3+1”, the site shows no results, despite that phrase appearing in both the page title and content of the page in question (and within the content of other pages and posts).

I’ve tested that it does show up in the search results when Relevanssi is disabled. What changes would I need to make in the Relevanssi settings to get this page in my search results?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Relevanssi replaces punctuation with spaces, so “3+1” becomes “3 1”, which is then not found, because the minimum length of words to index is three.

See here how to keep the plus – see the example about hyphens, and just replace the hyphen with a plus.

(For more advanced version, you could use preg_replace() to only keep pluses that are between two numbers.)

    Thanks for the link!

Since I wanted to keep the +, I used the technique shown for the ampersand and it is working on our test site after rebuilding the index.
