I can see that I am having exactly the same problem with clicking on a category. For example, the URL it gives for the Concepts category is:
https://www.catalog-on-demand.com/?cat=15

But it should be:
https://www.catalog-on-demand.com/blogs/?cat=15

Maybe one setting in one place will fix both of these issues? Thanks!

Did you update your permalinks after moving your blog to the new subdirectory?

Well, that accomplished something – but things are unfortunately worse now. The permalink was default, now I set it to: /blog/%post_id%

But as you can see, now our blog does not show any posts!

Hm, changing the permalink structure probably wasn’t the best idea. Just updating them (i.e. just hitting Save on the Permalinks page) was what I suggested.

Can you change it back to default structure again and hit Save again, see what happens?

I did try that.. and should have said so. It did not fix the problem, sorry! (and hopefully I will get to the point where the url contains the name, but realize we have to take one step at a time).

Hm – the front page looks ok, but all the post titles don’t have that /blog/ appended, so they lead to a 404.

In your Settings > General page, do you have both WordPress address (URL) and Site address (URL) pointing to https://www.catalog-on-demand.com/blog/?

When you moved your WP install to the blog subdirectory, did you copy over the .htaccess and index.php files to the same subdirectory?

Yes, that fixed everything. Not sure of the answer to the .htaccess and index.php, because I’m not the developer who did that. But I recall a reference to that topic and I am 99% sure the answer is yes.

The reason they were different is because I wanted the logo to point to our home page, the same way it does on the other pages of our site. It did not occur to me that that change was the source of the problems. Thanks much for your help.

Next I’m going to change the permalink structure to /%post_id% and see what happens!

If you want the header-logo to point to your main site, you’ll need to edit the header.php file to make that happen.

P.S. the .htaccess and index.php must have been shifted over, because otherwise the site wouldn’t be working at all!

I did change the permalink to what I said, but you can see the results. I got a message saying “You should update your .htaccess now.”, but I don’t know how to do that. I think I will leave it as is for now.

I will be away for a few hours. If you have a tip on how to fix, that would be great. Perhaps my developer will know how to resolve this as well – though he is not a WP expert.
